KHCF USA is governed by a Board of Directors, which is composed of a dedicated group of professionals who have volunteered their time to support the global fight against cancer.

Leila Fayaz Larijani, a Georgetown University and NYU alumna, has over 25 years of experience in financial services. She works in private wealth management at UBS in New York. An active member of professional and charitable organizations, she also serves as KHCF USA’s treasurer. Mrs. Larijani lives in New York with her husband, Dr. L. Russell Hirshfield.

Samia Farouki is a highly accomplished business woman and activist holding degrees from the American University in Beirut and George Washington University. Founder and CEO of Hii-Finance Corporation, she actively supports various educational, artistic, and healthcare initiatives. She serves on multiple boards, including KHCF USA, and resides in Washington, D.C., with her husband.

Claude Wasserstein, an activist and philanthropist, has a background in journalism and early-stage investments. She founded Fine Day Ventures and serves on multiple prestigious boards, including KHCF USA. A recipient of France’s Insignia Chevalier of the Legion of Honor, she resides in New York City with her family.

Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Amira Salaam Amro graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in English Literature and later attended Georgetown Law Center. She later shifted from corporate law to entrepreneurship, founding Flywheel Sports in Dubai. Amira is a dedicated fundraiser and volunteer, supporting causes related to human rights, healthcare, and education. She lives in New York City with her husband and two sons.

Leily S. Batmanghelidj, an Iranian-American activist and humanitarian, graduated from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. With professional experience in banking and software development, she now focuses on non-profit organizations. She actively supports KHCF USA and helps Georgetown University enhance its Persian Studies program. She resides in McLean, Virginia, with her husband

Mrs. Eleanor Bingham Wehlen Board Member Eleanor Bingham Wehlen is the co-founder of Coburn Barrett, a boutique asset manager. She holds an MBA and a BA in History from the University of California, Berkeley, and has a strong background in foreign exchange and commodities trading. Mrs. Wehlen lives in San Francisco with her husband and son.

A Jordanian national, Mr. Fawaz Bilbeisi has extensive experience in economic diplomacy and international development. He serves as an Advisor to the Executive Director of the Board of The World Bank Group, representing the Jordanian government. He has previously held significant positions within Jordan's Foreign Ministry and embassies abroad.

Aliyya Stude, born in Beirut, holds an undergraduate degree in Business and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. She has worked with Yellowstone Capital and Sotheby’s Houston, where she is currently Vice President. Aliyya serves on several boards, including the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. She lives in Houston with her two children.

Nisreen Qatamish serves as Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation in Jordan, where she oversees fundraising, global advocacy, and awareness programs. She joined KHCF in 2008, playing a pivotal role in developing the Jordan Breast Cancer Program. Mrs. Qatamish holds a bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources and Environment Management from the University of Jordan, and is a strong advocate for gender equality and tobacco control.

A retired attorney, Yolanda Gasalla studied law at Georgetown University before later going on to practice law in Florida for over a decade. After retiring from her legal practice, Ms. Gasalla supports a number of charitable causes, including her dedicated service to KHCF USA as President of the Board of Directors.

HRH Princess Ghida Talal , an alumna of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, was appointed by HM King Abdullah II to establish the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center in 2001. Under Princess Ghida’s leadership, KHCF/KHCC have become Jordan’s largest charitable organization, providing life-saving care, pioneering awareness and early detection efforts in Jordan, and serving as a regional reference for oncologic training and capacity-building.
